About me

HI, I'M BEN.

I'm a software engineer with nearly a decade of experience building web applications, APIs, and cloud-based systems.

I've worked across serverless architecture, data migrations, and third-party integrations - designing and building systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to work with. I've also spent time leading teams, but what matters most to me is how I work: I care as much about the people I work with as the products we ship. I bring empathy, clarity, and a collaborative mindset to every team I'm part of.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, paddleboarding, playing pool, collecting watches, cooking, and exploring Minnesota with my wife and dog.

Built and maintained web applications for Student Affairs and other campus organizations using JavaScript, PHP, and frontend frameworks. Delivered tools used by students and internal teams, focusing on usability and reliability.

Associate Digital Engineer (I & II)

Built rapid prototypes and production features for in-store and online customer experiences, including IoT initiatives, using React, React Native, and Node.js. Served as a frontend lead on select projects, guiding implementation and collaborating across teams.

Built customer-facing and internal platforms, including web ordering and operational tools, supporting high-traffic systems with hundreds of thousands of daily requests. Led integrations with payments and third-party services while evolving the platform toward scalable, cloud-based architecture.
